The long weekend

While the rest of the world knows 1st of May as labour day, America likes to celebrate it on the 'monday after the first tuesday in septemer' (note the convoluted definition). Therefore, today is Labour Day and its a holiday. Everything is closed, except Walmart and places like that ofcourse. Last night I went to a wild party at Platinum, a desi party.. wow i had no idea this city had these many indians and what a crowd !! We had to stand in queue for an hour outside before we got in. The place was packed with desi babes and guys grooving to... uh-oh: HIP HOP music.. what a bummer ! These guys have no sense of good music.. believe me. Rock and metal are alien to the ppl here. Don't even think about asking for Pink Floyd. Except for the occaisional bhangra numbers, it was pretty difficult to dance on the hiphop crap. The good part was the plethora of good looking women and the cocktails. First time i had a margherita :) Recommended cocktail: Long island ice tea (its got nothing to do with ice tea btw). What follwed after the cocktails was a blurred happiness, wild dancing with i dunno who, i rememebr taking a nap on a bed somewhere.. it was a nice fourpost bed.. then we drove to the grease trucks and got a bite. Ah.. lastly i got to play a guitar finally at m & d's place. Nice ppl. I taught them some tam expletives. Amazing sound. When i woke up it was lunch time and my neck's been paining eversince. I have loads of work to do.
