Adam Smith

It always amazes me to think of the first couple of years in college. When Saarang came, we'd form our own small groups to hang out with and ogle collectively at all women. Collectively, we'd rate each cute 'babe'. Sometimes, we'd make hilarious plans to get ourselves introduced, inspiring ourselves with (in)famous Hindi movies. But Saarang would pass by without any of us having the balls to speak to even a single girl. Afterward, we'd curse ourselves for being such losers. That was pretty much the story in the first year at least. Our annual cul-fest was like our new year.. there'd be new clothes, new perfumes, even new sneakers! For five days, the campus was transformed into something else.

What strikes me as amazing is that even though each one of us felt we'd never get anywhere if we stuck as a group, we never left our group. Every man for himself" we'd tell each other but in the end we were a flock.

And now, we have each gone our way. And things have changed now. We have changed. We have learnt. We have grown. Each their own way. The flock is no more.
