The Racist phone call

I became aware of a heinious act of racism that was committed last week on a Philadelphia based American radio station when a DJ on a morning radio show called up a call center in India and began abusing a female call center worker with filthy language ('bitch', 'filthy rat eater', 'I'll choke the f*** out of you') for no apparent reason. The call ended with lughing ans applause at the radio station. Ridiculous and very very shameful. I am linking to a blog entry by one of many fellow bloggers expressing their rage and concern on the isuue. Rediff and Times of India carried stories.
